Part of the master-planned community Crimson Hill on Sydney’s north shore, Shout Ridge was the second successful project Ganellen delivered for Defence Housing Australia.

Located between the bushland of Lane Cove National Park and the UTS Ku-ring-gai campus, Shout Ridge has been designed in harmony with its surrounds, with bushland growing right up to the edge of the development. It comprises 88 apartments across two architecturally distinct buildings, and features eye-catching pre-cast concrete balconies, a respectful acknowledgement of the style of renowned architect, Harry Seidler. In keeping with its natural surrounds, the design also made recreation a priority, with more than 25% of the site set aside for outdoor communal use.

Sustainability was key for this development, and our work achieved a 6-Star Multi Unit Residential Design v1 Certified Rating from the Green Building Council of Australia. This represents world leadership in environmentally sustainable design, and Shout Ridge was the first residential project in Australia to receive this rating.
